We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of 2011.
And today we are posting a lot of news: As the other side of the coin for One Life to Live cancellation and All My Children getting cancelled also, we get some good news too: Nickelodeon renews iCarly for season five.
The kids show juggernaut is solid as always and this should surprise no one.
The renewal for iCarly comes on the heels of the most recent episode of iCarly, iOMG, drawing a record audience of 7.4 million last Saturday. The episode was the most watched basic cable program last week and ranks as basic cable’s top kids’ telecast this year in total viewers.
This renewal order for iCarly won´t affect things right now, because the show has already two runs to go still, but this order adds one more in the backend, considering Miranda Cossgrove has a new contract with the network.
“Our audience will be psyched to get more of what they love – new episodes of their favorite show, iCarly,” said Marjorie Cohn, Nickelodeon’s president of original programming and development.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
iCarly is mediocre at best. Besides Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Kress, the rest of the iCarly cast is banal and lame, and so are the storyplots really, except iOMG, which, in my opinion, was a much deserved improvement in quality for the series, which has been suffering for a long time now. The overall theme of the show is aimed more toward younger children, although some mild adult themes have also been mentioned in the series, which is a surprising move from someone like Dan Schneider, the director of the show, who was also behind other popular Nick shows like “Drake & Josh” and “The Amanda Show.”
Overall, iCarly does nothing for these actors/actress careers, it makes them all look immature and crude. I hope some of the cast pulls away from Nickelodeon once this show meets the final curtain call, it would make them all look that much more professional on screen than they are now.
