cancelled-renewed-holliston-fearnet-season-twoMore information to fill the lists for cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012.  And this one came quite quickly, after only a couple of weeks into the freshman run, when FEARNet renews Holliston for season two.

The show is the first original scripted series from the horror and thriller cable network.
Second season renewal for Holliston means the show will come back early 2013 for another run.

“‘Holliston’ resonates with both genre junkies and more mainstream comedy fans alike, making our first push into original programming a successful attempt for diversifying our schedule and showing the breadth of our audience,” said Peter Block general manager and president of FEARnet. “Adam Green and Joe Lynch bring to life a truly original series perfectly fit for FEARnet.”

What is Holliston About? Plot Synopsis

FEARnet’s first original scripted television series, is a riotous and offbeat multi-camera, buddy comedy starring Adam Green (director, “Hatchet,” “Frozen”), and Joe Lynch (director, “Knights of Badassdom,” “Wrong Turn 2”).  Set in the town of Holliston (near Boston), the series shines a light on the post-college life where everything is a struggle, and nothing works out like it’s supposed to.  With terrifyingly funny results, Adam and Joe struggle to become big-time horror filmmakers while hosting late night scary movies at the local cable station, and Adam embarrasses himself as he tries to win back his high school girlfriend.  Think of “Holliston” as “Big Bang Theory” meets “Evil Dead 2.”  The ensemble cast features Laura Ortiz (“The Hills Have Eyes,” “Horton Hears A Who”), Corri English (“Unrest,” “The Bedford Diaries,” lead singer of Brokedown Cadillac), Dee Snider (Twisted Sister, “Strangeland,” radio/television personality), and Oderus Urungus (Alien lead singer from legendary heavy metal band GWAR).
