The season one finale of “Shahs of Sunset” earned its most watched episode of the season with over 1.5 million total viewers and 1 million adults 18-49.  Compared to the previous week’s episode, the season finale spiked 20 percent among adults 18-49 and 15 percent among total viewers. Based on the show’s success the network greenlit a second season renewal order of Shahs of Sunset, the series from Ryan Seacrest Productions.

What is Shahs of Sunset about? Synopsis

The docu-series explores a group of young Persian-American friends who juggle living and working in Los Angeles while balancing the demands of their families and traditions.

From over-the-top shopping sprees on Rodeo Drive to traditional family feasts at home, “Shahs of Sunset” celebrates the opulent lifestyle of a group of young, friends who have grown up together in Los Angeles and are now trying to balance their active social lives with their up-and-coming careers.  Armed with chromed-out cars, logo-ridden purses and designer outfits, they’ve got it and they’re not afraid to flaunt it.   But while these young socialites know how to spend money – they also know the value of family and tradition. It’s a part of Los Angeles culture and lifestyle that definitely has to be seen to be believed.

“Shahs of Sunset” is produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions with Ryan Seacrest serving as executive producer on the series.
