Still a lot of the year is left, that means more shows to add onto the lists of cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012, and after Discovery cancelled American Chopper, we see another veteran go, as Discovery cancelled Dirty Jobs also.
Mike Rowe himself announced on his blog that the show is going onto “permanent hiatus” aka getting cancelled. Host, executive producer and creator Mike Rowe travels the country showcasing America’s unsung heroes – from landfill operators to scrapple makers to horse testers – serving as apprentice to these hard-working and skilled men and women who make civilized life possible for the rest of us. Since the series first debuted on Discovery Channel in 2005, DIRTY JOBS WITH MIKE ROWE has provided a behind-the-scenes look at over 250 dirty jobs (and counting!) – in industries ranging from construction to sanitation to manufacturing.
Seven seasons in and the show was still able to find Dirty Jobs for Mike to get into, and we kinda thought it was a lock to comeback, but nope, Discovery cancels Dirty Jobs moving away from one of its staplers.
