Cancelled Shows 2010: NBC cancels Mercy

Mercy is the best show i watch it every week. It has to stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am truly saddened to hear Trauma & Mercy have been cancelled. They are my favorite shows. I am so sick & tired of reality shows. I hope somehow they can be saved.

I can’t believe Mercy has been canceled. This show is SO GOOD!!! I honestly cannot believe that they are leaving us with that season finale. I am beyond upset about this. The chemistry between Trachtenberg and Van Der Beek was right on target as was Schilling’s and Tupper’s. Chuck? Really? The execs at NBC are making a huge mistake. Change the time slot then. You really need to give this another chance. Bad decision making. NBC read your audience’s comments. I officially loathe NBC now.

Ugh, keep the crappy shows and get rid of Mercy? Really? Come on, people. That show was actually good! And I missed most of it this year because I had a night class on Wednesdays…

NBC, seriously wants to go down in flames. Their LINE up for these shows — it looks like they’re trying to crash and burn. First they got rid of CONAN, and now MERCY — They are just out to piss us off. I’m going to VOW not to watch NBC again. STUPID line up of reality BS.

What’s the point. I hope another network picks up MERCY. Teach NBC a lesson.

I am really sad to hear that they have cancelled Mercy, especially ending the show like did. I really enjoyed watching the show. I am also disappointed that they have canceled Trauma, what a shame. I am hoping that NBC will rethink their decision. Yea right. It was a thought.

I LOVE Mercy. I am seriously bummed that it got canceled. There are some terrible shows on, I don’t understand why 2 awesome shows like Mercy and Law & Order got the axe.

I can’t believe that they cancelled Mercy! It was my new favorite show! The characters were so relateable and I cared what was gonna happen next…unlike all these crappy reality ( I use the word lightly) show that are dominating the networks! To make matters worse they left us with a cliffhanger!!!!!!

I cannot believe that Mercy got cancelled. I watch the episodes multiple times on my computer…I am so sick of these networks chosing for the actual tv watcher, stop depending on nielson reports and ask the people who really matter. I am sickened by the over populated reality shows. And I want Mercy to stay!!!!!!!

There must be something that the viewing public can do to keep Mercy on the air for another year !!! I will watch all CBS show from now on !!!!!

this is such a disappointment. I really enjoy MERCY. And like many have already stated, I’m *SO* sick of all the bs reality shows 😐 NBC this is a horrible decision!!!!

They need to change their mind and RENEW MERCY its a great show and alot of the other shows they kept stink.

I am so mad right now. And I can’t stop boiling! WHY would they cancel Mercy, and even that I can get over, but the way they left it is unexceptable. Stupid, stupid decision. I’m going to go stick my head in a toilet now instead of watching television. . .

I am absolutely devastated! Mercy is the only show I get excited to watch! If it hasn’t found a “groove”, move it someplace else! I LOVE this show, it HAS TO STAY! Please leave the good shows alone and cut the crappy ones! BRING IT BACK!

PLEASE NBC, what can we do to get our show back?!? Listen to your viewers, we want MERCY! WE WANT OUR SHOW! Do you want us to stop watching your stations? Mercy is a GREAT show and deserves to be on the air!

I’m pissed off it’s canceled as it ended in a cliff hanger

I’m really upset that NBC has cancelled Mercy. I thought that it was a great show – great characters, great story lines and it was just starting to get really good towards the end…..it would be great if another smarter network picked it up. This show is good and deserves another season at the very least!

I am so disappointed Mercy is cancelled. It is far superior to Grey’s (although the finale was good). I agree that another network should pick it up…

You know we can place our comments but they don’t mean nothing. Ilove Mercy. I hate the reality shows. Hate is a strong word and I don’t like using it, but you put on something win it and take off Mercy whom people can relate too. “Go figure”. That’s messed up and the NBC team made that up. (Law & Order, also)

I LOVED Mercy! I looked forward to it every Wednesday. For me, it was the perfect medical show to take place after E.R. I NEED to see what happens next season. NBC can’t just cancel Mercy with a cliff-hanger ending like that! Does Mike die? What happened to that other doctor whose plane got blown up? It really makes me mad!!! Well, goodbye NBC…you just lost another viewer. Oh, and don’t even get me started with the cancellation of Heroes…!

I love Mercy and Trauma they are my two favorite shows. Evertime they get good shows they cancell them. I am sick and tired of reality shows.

Great story line, great characters, awesome actors. I love this parogram, too bad they won’t give it another season to catch on.

I am not happy that it is cancelled… its the best show ever…and if people watched it from the first episode they were hooked with the spunk and sexy parts… I think NBC didn’t market it well enough, and if they had of, it would have taken off. So sad… I hope they reconsider!!!!

I am very disapointed that Mercy is being cancelled… I really enjoyed the story line and it was becoming better and better each week. A later time slot would make a big difference. Hopefully NBC learned thier lesson w/the whole Jay Leno thing…..

This is was the wrong thing to do on NBC’s behalf! Mercy was the only thing I would watch and I looked forward to it! NBC is going to loose some viewers from this STUPID decision that they have made!!! I loved everything about this show and will not watch NBC anymore!!!

This really sucks! Mercy was the BEST!!! NBC cancelled the best show they had on. I guess the mighty dollar wins again! I don’t understand how they think the ratings wasn’t high enough, everyone I know watched this show, and from the looks of these posts, quite a few more people did too. The ONLY Thing the NBC Executives care about is money. They never gave Mercy a real chance, A LOT of shows have a hard time taking off in the first season, that doesn’t mean you should give up on it. O’well I guess ABC gets all my attention from now on, I think it would be great if they picked Mercy up, I bet that would piss them NBC Exec.’s off, that would teach them! But it don’t matter they don’t care about us or our opinion, just there pockets. O’well its their LOSS & Greed will take you to Hell, I hope they remember that when they go to bed at night!

From reading the posts it sure seems people are sick of reality shows. I agree to leave the audience with that cliff hanger ending on Mercy just completely sucked. NBC has made some major errors in programming. Letting Jay come back to his tired format and giving Conan the axe. Dumping Mercy with that hideous cliff hanger. But they’re not the only ones. I’m so glad I didn’t get involved in Flash Forward because I just KNEW that it wouldn’t stay. Craig Ferguson once said he never watches shows the first year because so few of them survive till the second. I’m almost there. Why get invested when they’ll be unceremoniously dumped? Please, oh great and powerful Oz, leave the programming to someone other than the Scare Crow…some one with a BRAIN!

Wow… This is the first time I have loved a tv show so much that was cancelled in the first season. I was really rooting for Mike and Ronnie! I am not happy about this and I hope another network picks it up.

Mercy was a great show sad that it’s ended on a visit to manhattan I saw big billboards for trauma now that’s gone happy town another great show gone Miami medical gone flash forward gone I live in the Uk where we don’t get all these shows on tv only By downloading off the net, drives me crazy to see how much money tv channels put in to making these shows just to scrap them. Oh well let’s see how long some of the new shows last for & I’m on a countdown for the fall shows cougar town, castle, and the mentalist are great!!!!

I agree with a lot of people. Mercy and Trauma are two of the very few shows I watch on ABC. They won’t get any ratings from me this fall! I will be watching other networks.

I am very sad, it was an enjoyable show and I hate not knowing what was going to happen. Trauma too? But I am not as upset as I am about Mercy.

I can not believe that NBC cancelled Mercy!. This by far was one of the best shows on the air!. I looked forward to sitting down and watching this every week. PLEASE re consider this decision. Perhaps you may want to consider cancelling “life Unexpected”. Now that is a crappy show!

Just watched the whole season online and really enjoyed it. I am so sick and tired of good shows being cancelled after one season with these cliff hangers that give us zero closure!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least give closure for the sake of the hundreds of people that were watching!

There are very few shows that I actually looked forward to watching, Mercy was one of them. I just checked today to see when it would be starting again and was horribly disappointed to
read that it’s been cancelled. The show offered a cast that
actually came across as “Real”. We all can relate to one character
or another. I hope NBC reconsiders, they should give Mercy a
chance. It’s one of the best shows out there.

I am soo tired of any show I really like getting cancelled and they like to do that alot when they just leave you hanging at the end and you never know what was going to happen next. They did that with Dark Angel and with John Doe as well. Most of the shows I loved watching are now cancelled. Flash Forward, Heroes, Monk, Mercy, and who knows what else. What a bummer. Pretty soon there isn’t going to be anything on t.v. anymore besides dumb reality shows. I guess its too damn complicated for writers to use their brains and come up with real shows with real story lines, so instead they put on stupid reality shows. People want to say how some actual shows have no story line what they think reality shows do? How many seasons of survivor does there need to be? Isn’t it all pretty much the same crap over and over again just with new people? I don’t understand these t.v. networks. Rather than going by nielson ratings why don’t they take a poll? I work most evenings so I dvr all of my shows, don’t they take into consideration all the people who are dvr’ing and tivo’ing the shows? whatever!

I agree with lora May 16th 2010(Post) Really! NBC needs to reconsider MERCY. We should be heard. Cause, we are the ones who watch the show faithfully. And with the season finale…, Now we will never know about Trachtenberg and Van Der Beek. THANKS NBC for>>>…….Leaving US Hanging!

I can’t freakin believe NBC cancelled Mercy!!!! Now I have nothing to look forward to watch.. My husband and I watch Chuck that was his show and Mercy was mine and now I’m left to just watch chuck. not that I’m upset about chuck because I love chuck too, but this was a MAJOR HORRIBLY bad decision on NBC’s part I do hope they bring it back and soon!!

I can not believe both Mercy and Trauma have been cancelled. To be replaced by another, yet increasingly lamer, reality show no doubt. When are TV executives going to wake up and stop cancelling such intense shows that so many people love and replace them with mind numbing shows featuring (not starring!!!) has-beens or never-were people. HBO keeps looking better all the time.

Ugh I am so mad! Why keep the crappy reality shows that are a dime a dozen and get rid of a great show like Mercy?! Mercy was one of the few medical dramas/comedies to focus more on the nurses than the doctors! I also loved the characters and the acting was superb. Now I’m starting to see why no one I know watches NBC.

I am extremely sad about mercy not having a second season. I LOVED IT! I want to know what happened sooo bad! and wow NBC is really losing it, they cancel all the good shows, just because sappy and prissy girls want the shows that don’t show any blood, please. I served in Iraq doing the same thing veronica did. wow.

I am very upset with nbc… I thought MERCY was a great show. It became a big nite for me and my teenage girls.. they watch it with me. and when you changed the date , we followed to. NBC give it a second look. I and then maybe I’LL START WATCHING NBC again.

Why are all the good shows with taste and classy entertainment getting the axe while the dumb mindless shows get renewed. First Ghost Whisperer now Mercy. Gee whats next Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Criminal Minds….These broadcasting stations are clearly out of touch with their viewing audience!

Mercy was one of the best TV series I’ve seen and I’m very upset they canceled it after one season. Nothing like getting you hooked on a show with a great story line and then suddenly dropping it! VERY POOR JUDGEMENT ON NBC’S PART.

I think it’s crap that the show was cancelled….look at the number of soldiers coming back from the Middle East and are suffering with PTSD not to mention the doctors and nurses that served. This show may have also helped someone who was thinking about enlisting or to go into the medical field make a decision.

I am a teenager and I really liked this show. I’ve already re-watched the first and only season twice. They can’t end a show like they did,especially after all that horrible stuff happened. Veronica,Sonia and Chloe all had to leave their feelings at the door… it really shed light on the more important positions in the hospital. I’ve been in and out of the hospital all my life and nurses really do put their patients first. So disappointed. would do anything for it to be put back on… they do that stuff all the time right?

I am so upset that Mercy was cancelled. I was a big fan. I have been waiting and waiting to see what happened. the finale left everyone hanging. what happened to the pregnancy and the Dr. Veronica was cheating on her husband with? what happened to the hubby? so many unanswered questions. not fair to leave viewers and fans hanging. I think personally it was just like the Sopranos. NOT COOL!!!

I can’t believe NBC cancelled Mercy!! This makes me wonder who is really in charge. I mean come on…maybe some things could have been made better but get some new writers but ending it at the end of the first season is a total waste!! I think this show could have gone a long way with its characters. I had much rather watch a show like this than some stupid mess they have on most of the time. NBC get a clue!!

Just found out Mercy was cancelled and not coming back. Like so many others I HATE reality show and finally found a GREAT show like Mercy and after getting so involved with the characters you take it off the air. What a shame. Taking evering thing from us baby bommers. Finally getting to retire and taking off soaps and good shows like Mercy and Trauma and leaving us with dopey reality shows!!!!!

i loved mercy show all of the ER taurma shows out there was all the same but mercy was a breath of fresh air it always left u on the edge of ur seat at the end of the eposide. it was so good i was sitting in front of the tv ten min. early before it came on and i can saw there are very few shows i do that on. but i hope they bring it back NO THEY NEED TO BRING MERCY BACK!!!!!

I just started watching this show on netflix and I’m hooked. So sad that there isn’t another season after I’m done with this one. Bad mistake on NBC’s part. They just needed more time for this show to get popular because not everyone has time to tune in for all these shows! BRING MERCY BACK. I got all my friends hooked too..

I quit watching NBC pretty quit watching Tv except when I buy dvds and blurays. Why would I want to watch reality shows when I live in and work in reality? Why do I want to watch people be stuid on camera when I see it in real life? Why take good shows off the air like Mercy and Trauma and leave us crap to watch?

I just finished watching the last episode of Mercy on Neflix and I gotta say the 1st thing I did was google if there was another season. Some ppl’s, well everyone’s comments, are rght on! This show definetely deserved to stay on. And like any new show that is similar to other medical dramas, they need time to catch on. In the case of Mercy, it did catch on. It is dissappointing to know networks keep shoving dumb, pointless, mind numbing reality shows down our throats! STOP! Smart and interesting ppl also watch TV and deserve good quality programing. I rarely voice my opinions like this but

As sad as it is, I think I am actually depressed because this show was cancelled. I’m saving the last two episodes of it (Hulu) for rainy days. It has been my escape for a long time. I’m so sad it’s cancelled. 🙁

I can not believe I have been waiting and waiting for Mercy and also Flash Forward to come back and just found out they are cancelled. I am so upset, cliffhanger for life is where it leaves those of us that enjoyed watching it. But make sure all these STUPID REALITY shows stay full throttle, I could care less how rich folks live their lives. Or most definately DO NOT care about a MAN who has humpteen dozen wives and still get ratings enough to stay on the air without being illegal 🙁 WHAT IS TV COMING TO?

Mercy was the greatest show ever! I didn’t watch it when it was on but then was looking for something to watch so I watched it on HULU.com. I was so into it I could’t stop watching it. They laste episode of Season 1 was such a cliff hanger! I loved both MIke and Chris! You could have at least not ended it with such a big unknown. Could you a least let us know what was in the works for the second season. Post it online for us to read so we can be at ease!

This is unbelievable! this was such a great show. i just finished watching it on hulu and was disappionted when i saw the last aired date was in ’10. it had a rocky start but toward the end it was as good as Greys Anatomy(which is absolutley my favorite show)! I hope somewhere down the line it comes bck on…. 🙁

Yeahh I just finished watching the whole show on DVD, how are they going to leave the ending like that, at least make one more year of it, so we atleast have an ending!!!! Wtf
