What is It´s OK! I´m An Actor About?
OK, maybe you don’t know Joe… but you will soon. Right now Joe is just a commercial actor, but he is on the rise to TV superstardom. We are here to follow and document Joe on his crazy trip to the top (plus anyone lucky enough to bask in his glory). Joe’s got to handle his roommate, Ryan (unfortunately, not in the business), a Diva Ex-Girlfriend, two loony landlords, and many more! From Gangsta Rappers to Washed-Up Soap Stars, you never know who Joe might bump into. Just don’t forget, It’s OK! He’s an Actor…
Characters of It´s OK! I´m An Actor
Joe: Originally from Ellsworth, Kansas, Joe moved to Brooklyn, New York to pursue his budding acting career. After landing a few choice TV spots, Joe was selected as the subject of the new reality series, “It’s OK! I’m an Actor.” Joe currently has a camera crew documenting his crazy life 24/7, while he searches for his big break.
Ryan: A Brooklyn native, Ryan moved in with Joe right out of college. He found Joe through a Craigslist ad. Ryan took it upon himself to show this bright-eyed Kansas boy the ropes in the big city. Ryan is an avid sci-fi/fantasy reader and currently works a 9-5 office gig in the city.
Candice: An LA transplant, Candice has been featured in numerous television ads that have been aired nation wide. Through her talent and persistence, Candice was able to land a starring role in her first television show, “Little Ladies…Last Saturday” Unfortunately, the pilot was not picked up and the show never aired. Joe and Candice have been an on and off again item for over a year.
Ali: A trendy Manhattanite, Ali has lived her whole life in New York City. Ali met Ryan her freshman year of college, where the two fell in love at her professor’s passover dinner. Ali is currently unemployed and does some charity work through her sorority.
Greg: Most recognizable as Dr. Campis Esquire on the short-lived soap opera “Dark Corners,” Greg now works mostly in commercials. Greg has recently found new representation with Marty Manaheim and is trying to make his big television comeback.
Big eX: A Brooklyn-born rapper, Big eX has a story to tell and an album to sell. If he’s not tearing it up in da club, Big eX is out hittin’ the streets. Don’t forget to buy his grand slam album, “Less Car’s Mo’ Bitches”, it comes with a free can opener!
Leo & Dennis: These two are the land lords in Joe and Ryan’s building. Where they are from and how they got here is a bit of a mystery, but they have taken it upon themselves to use our cameras for their own weekly talk show. Tune in soon!
