This one I have to admit I did not see coming. E! is cancelling Love You Mean It with Whitney Cummings after only a few months of air. The show was a weekly talk show that premiered in November but has already aired its final episode on last week´s airing.
Whitney Cummings had three shows on air: one a hit in 2 Broke Girls, one a middle of the pack still struggling in the ratings sitcom (in Whitney on NBC, although my favorite out of the three) and this talk show Love You Mean it with Whitney Cummings that just got cancelled.
What was Love You Mean It with Whitney Cummings about?
Equipped with only a microphone and her laptop — and joined by celebrity guests and comedian friends, including sidekick Julian McCullough — Cummings is poised to make Wednesday nights on E! twice as fun when her show is paired with the network’s popular series “The Soup” beginning November 2012.
“Love You, Mean It with Whitney Cummings” gives the outspoken comediane free rein to dish on her favorite topics, trends and latest obsessions. Nothing is off limits for this girl who says what everyone else is thinking, whether it’s pondering the wisdom of plastic surgery, the folly of mis-matched Hollywood romances or setting the record straight on pressing rumors circulating the Web.
Cummings first captured national attention with her outrageous standup, sketch comedy and appearances on popular improv shows. Shortly after, she further launched her career as a regular round-table guest on E!’s “Chelsea Lately.” Last year, her hour-long Comedy Central standup special, Money Shot” was nominated for an American Comedy Award. Cummings is the creator, star and executive producer on “Whitney,” her autobiographical comedy series on NBC She also co-created “Two Broke Girls” for CBS with Michael Patrick King.
