This show is already on a very healthy sophomore season, and Nick @ Nite decided it needs more from this season, so it renewed See Dad Run for thirteen new episodes that will air early 2014.
In its second season, See Dad Run averages 1.2 million total viewers, and has gone a tick up 3% among adults 18-49 in the Sunday 8 PM period, making those numbers a good outing for the cabler.
The show, produced and starred by Scott Baio tells the story of David Hobbs (Baio) an actor who, after ten years of starring as America’s favorite TV dad, becomes a stay-at-home father to honor the deal he made with his soap star wife (Alanna Ubach, Legally Blonde), so that she may return to the limelight. Mark Curry (Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper) also stars as David’s friend, Marcus.
Also starring is Ryan Newman, an up and coming teen star that will soon be everywhere from film to TV, mark my words; an actress we had the chance of interviewing (see the interview).
