What the heck is Cinematography anyways? Well, it´s what used to be called Photography… is the style and looks of the film. And these five are very deserving: Among the list of nominees for this award are:
Emmanuel Lubezki for Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Robert Yeoman for The Grand Budapest Hotel, Lukasz Zal and Ryszard Lenczewski for Ida, Roger Deakins for Unbroken and Dick Pope for Mr Turner.
And the Oscar goes to… Emmanuel Lubezki for Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), in his second consecutive Oscar, after last year´s from Gravity. So you may already be confident as a director if you have Emmanuel Lubezki helming Cinematography.
