Today I´ve been updating a lot on the wah-wah side of the lists of renewed shows of 2013 and cancelled shows of 2013, and there´s another one to add, as The Ricki Lake Show gets cancelled after its freshman season. It should surprise no one, as the show was shortcoming on the desired ratings, struggling from the gates.
“I am so proud of the shows we completed this season, sparking important conversations about everything from raising children to mental illness to suicide prevention to coming out,” said Ricki Lake when commenting on The Ricki Lake Show cancellation.
This season had a full roster of freshman talk shows, and some made it while some did not. This is the case for Ricki Lake´s as she faced tough newcomer opponents such as Katie, Trisha Goddard, Dish Nation among many others.The Show will keep its scheduled first season to completion, but will not come back. So, if you are a fan, you can keep watching Mondays through Fridays for still a while.
