Top ten reasons to watch HBO´s Bored to DeathOk, so, Bored to Death is a great show, and Bored to Death comes back September 26th on HBO, as our TV Comeback Calendar tells.

The show is starting its sophomore season, and you may have missed the first season of Bored to Death, and you may be wondering… is it worth to try and catchup?

Well, that´s why I´ve compiled the top ten reasons why you should watch Bored to Death this fall.

Top 10 reasons to watch Bored to Death

1- The Cast of Bored to Death:

I mean, there´s Ted Danson, Jason Schwartzman and Zach Galifianakis. Need I say more?

2- The Story behind the scripts

He is a writer coming out of a bad breakup and who decides to open a private detective agency.

3- The Main Name

The creator of the show is Jonathan Ames, and the main character is called Jonathan Ames, in something you can easily mistake for a surrogate identity or even an alter ego.

4- The Title Sequence for Bored tho Death

Dean Haspiel won the Outstanding Main Title Design Emmy for HBO’s Bored To Death, along with collaborators Tom Barham, Marci Ichimura and Anthony Santoro.

5- The Detective Work

Some of the cases end up solved, and some others get even more mixed up!

6- Ray´s Drawings

The Super Hero, Super Ray and all of Ray´s Drawings just give the show an extra talent punch to make it work. And also, folks at HBO launched the Super Ray comic book by Jonathan Ames and Dean Haspiel

7- The Music

Composed and sung by Jason Schwartzman himself, showing us not only he´s such a talented actor, but also a composer and singer. Jonathan Ames co-wrote the song, and Cocount Records performed it alongside Schwartzman.

8- Bored to Death esthetics

The film noir esthetics, the music, the characters, the sound effects. They all create a great noir atmosphere bringing Bored to Death to a whole extra level.

9- The Network

HBO has given us Six Feet Under and The Sopranos. Probably two of the best top ten series from last decade and even two of the best series ever. And they keep delivering, with shows like Entourage, Boardwalk Empire, Eastbound & Down, and, of course Bored to Death.

10 – The borough of Brooklyn!

Jonathan Ames tells stories that incorporate Brooklyn as a character kind of like the way Sex and the City used Manhattan.
