This one hadn´t made it to our review of the renewed shows on 2011 and all the cancelled shows on 2011, because there was still no official confirmation. Sadly, now there is.
TNT cancels Hawthorne during third season of the show.
In the official statement about Hawthorne cancellation, TNT explained:
TNT has decided not to order a fourth season of HawthoRNe. TNT truly appreciates the tremendous dedication of everyone involved in HawthoRNe. The series gave TNT the opportunity to work with many outstanding people, including Jada Pinkett Smith and the rest of the show’s talented cast, crew, producers and writers. We wish everyone involved with HawthoRNe nothing but the best.
So, it´s been a year of mixed emotions for TNT, specially because joining this Hawthorne getting cancelled, there´s also the thing about Men of a Certain Age getting cancelled, while Falling Skies, Franklin and Bash, Leverage and Rizzoli & Isles got renewed.
Still on the bubble is Memphis Beat, but that is still much on the fence, because even though it performed better than Hawthorne, it still is below expectations.
Hawthorne gets cancelled and TNT will lack the medical show for next year… what show will fill the void is yet to be known.
What do you think? Are you sad Hawthorne got cancelled? Let me know in the comments section.

memphis beat is a great show and so is hawthorne
I am not surprised. When it first started it was good. because it was about doctors and nurses, helping people, then they decided to make it into a very, very trashy and disgusting soap opera that focused only on her adulterous ways, thinking only of herself, never ever giving Tom a chance, she to me was totally disgusting and she deserved to have the show cancelled. I am only sorry we do not get to follow the other story lines, but again she deserves it.Even her daughter showed more sense than she did. And what was more disgusting to me, was that she would cheat on that gorgeous hunk of a husband, with that RAT faced jerk.
I’m not surprised in the slightest. The first episode in the last season was enough for me to say forget it. It was too much tragedy given and so few characters from last season as well. Where did everybody go? It felt like a different hospital. I felt that the writers must have changed. The direction of the show changed. I miss the old Hawthorne, but this one had to go.
I’m sad that Hawthorne was cancelled! I loved that show!
I am sad to see it go but, I understand that a lot of people were mad because of the affair, but I think Jada was trying to show that Chistina had flaws of her own,and issues she needed to take care of. I wish they would give her one more season to she how she handled running the hospital, and to see if she final would tell tom she loved him and needed him.
I’m going to miss the show.
The writing for Hawthorne this season was so lame. It was as if it was all about sensationalism…Christina’s. The rest of the cast was left out…their stories should have been developed more. This could have been a really good show.
I’m sad to see it end..so many questions…..who shot nick? Tom, nick – himself, because he scared christina with the gun, or that creepy guy with the other red ring……Does nick live? Does christina go back to tom or stay with her true love nick? Too many questions to leave us hanging!!!!!!!!!! How about a finale episode to tie up all the loose ends? Or another station picks up hawthorne?

I am sorry it ended up being an over draw out soap opera. it was awesome in the being when it was about the patients and what happen to them.
