We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of 2011
And the year came out in its first week already giving way to a couple renewals.
History Channel renews Top Gear US for a second season; and it should not surprise anyone since the show gained the youngest audiences for a show ever in History, enhancing the channels options.
Production on the second season of Top Gear, from BBC Worldwide Prods., will begin in the spring. Returning as co-hosts are comedian Adam Ferrara, champion rally and drift racer Tanner Foust and racing analyst Rutledge Wood.
Featuring super-cars, extreme stunts and challenges, car reviews and celebrity interviews, Top Gear is the home for anyone with a love of cars. The U.S. version will be chock-full of high-adrenaline action entertainment as it tracks the colorful history of the automobile as well as the eccentric adventures of its hosts with Top Gear’s customary wit and humor.

Why bother watching the USA version when you can watch the original program. Top Gear USA is a poor substitute for the original. I never miss an episode of the original series but could not care less for the USA version. I was excited about the program when I first heard about it but I can’t help but compare it to the original which is superior in every way.
Well, I have mixed feelings. The show is horrible when compared to the UK version. How to fix it? 1) New hosts. All the way around.2) Also, it needs to follow more closely the UK show’s format. 3) Less scripted dialog.
Here’s a line up: Brock Yates, Michael Andretti, Alan Girdler.
Happy it’s been renewed for a second season.People,,stop comparing it the UK version,,it’s not.Period.
Things that need to happen to make it a better show? First and foremost,,lose Rutledge Wood make Adam the center of the show. He’s just so much better than Wood.As for Tanner,,I liked him in Battle of the Supercars on Speed Channel and he’s good here as well and as Bruce Rex said above,,less scripted dialog.Sometimes it’s just painful to watch and the audiences reactions and laughing etc is so obviously added later and it looks fake.It would be awesome if Jay Leno could take Woods place but he’s too popular and he’s over qualified!!!
I was so excited for the US Top Gear, but was I was sadly disappointed. It was not nearly as funny as the UK Top Gear. Sure the cars were awesome but it didn’t keep me interested! Oh well, I am glad that the UK Top Gear is back. I am able to keep up with the UK Top Gear on DISH Online. Just for being a customer, I have access to thousands of shows when I want at no extra cost to me! It is great! I am also a DISH Network employee so I suggest checking it out because it is one cool site! Now to get back to watching all the shows…

I TOTALLY agree USA version SUCKS! Not just the show but the entire cast is terrible! How about Adam Carolla, Jay Leno, Charlie Sheen…now that would be funny!
