the-chew-cancelled-renewed-abcMore information to fill the lists for cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012.  And in the same day as ABC cancelled The Revolution, it also renewed The Chew for a new run.

Cancelling One Life to Live and All My Children was a big bet for the network, and after one year of the experiment, and The Chew‘s ratings have been largely on par with those of the soap it replaced, All My Children, at a fraction of the production cost, making it a good move, whilst The Revolution lost near half the ratings from One Life to Live.

This confirmation for The Chew does not mean a full fledged renewal order, rather than a continuing order on the present, and dropping The Revolution to make room for Katie Couric´s talk show, and leaving the status quo of The Chew at least until they get another show to take a shot on. But, for now, The Chew gets a renewed bet. Not sure for how long it will stick though.

What do you think? Are you happy that The Chew got renewed for now? Let me know in the comments section.
