Several shows got the callback to join the lists of cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012. This one, a funny show: Adult Swim renews Childrens Hospital for season five.
This is one of the happy stories that came up on the big writers strike, when many stars ended up on Webseries such as Dr Horrible´s Sing Along Blog and Childrens Hospital, which started as a Webseries with five minutes episodes on TheWB.com.
The storyline centers on the staff of Childrens Hospital, named after Dr. Arthur Childrens. The hospital sporadically (and usually without reason) is mentioned as being located within Brazil, despite making virtually no effort to conceal that the series is shot in Los Angeles, California. Corddry is part of an ensemble cast portraying the hospital’s doctors, which also includes Lake Bell, Erinn Hayes, Rob Huebel, Ken Marino and Megan Mullally. Malin Åkerman and Henry Winkler joined the cast for season two.
We couldn´t say that Childrens Hospital is a mainstream hit, but has consistently been getting better and better ratings, even surpassing the million viewers an episode mark; something quite impressive for a show on Adult Swim.
