Fox has already renewed Lie To Me for a second season. So, everything´s good for Lie To Me! specially after all the great quotes from Lie To Me we reviewed.
Lie to Me is an American television midseason replacement that premiered on the Fox network on January 21, 2009. In the show, Dr. Cal Lightman and his colleagues in The Lightman Group accept assignments from third parties (commonly local and federal law enforcement), and assist in investigations, reaching the truth through applied psychology: interpreting microexpressions, through the Facial Action Coding System, and body language. Dr. Lightman’s character is based on Paul Ekman, notable psychologist and expert on body language and facial expressions.
What is Lie To Me About? – Plot
Based on the real-life scientific discoveries of Paul Ekman, the series follows Lightman and his team of deception experts as they assist law enforcement and government agencies to expose the truth behind the lies.
The season opens with Cal and Gillian hiring a new associate: former TSA officer Ria Torres. Ria scored extraordinarily high on Cal’s deception detection diagnostic, and is labeled a “natural” at deception detection. Her innate talent in the field clashes with Cal’s academic approach, and he often shows off by rapidly analyzing her every facial expression. She counters by reading Lightman and when he least expects it, peppers conversations with quotes from his books.
It was gradually revealed that Dr. Lightman was driven to study micro-expressions as a result of guilt over his mother’s suicide; she claimed to have been fine, when she was actually experiencing great sorrow.
For a small number of the beginning episodes Lightman would team up with Torres working on a case, while Foster and Loker would team up on a separate case. Occasionally their work would intertwine or Foster and/or Lightman would provide assistance on each other’s cases. As the first season progressed, the cases became more involved and all four of the main characters would work together on one case for each episode.

the show is good as it is. it is an entertaining and well written. by far it is the best show that any network has.
I love this show! very smart and very different…i am addicted to this show and fox would be making a huge mistake to cancel such a great show! love that cast too cal is fantastic
This show is amazing and it keeps getting better and better. Tim Roth is a great actor and I don’t think that they could of got a better actor for his part. I hope that they don’t cancel it.
This show is the most original and best drama on tv right now and to cancel it would be a huge mistake.
I am hopeful it won’t be since 19 episodes have been ordered.
Why is “Lie To Me” no longer playing – ie Monday nights – 2010… It was one of the best shows going…

YES im super glad this isnt being canceled this is like my second favorite show right after the office of course! this show is very cool and i love how they can tell so much by just the look on someones face or by the twitch of there eye!
