Tough day for HBO fans… and a lot of updating to add to the renewed shows on 2011 and all the cancelled shows on 2011lists.
In this case, HBO cancelled Bored to Death, in a heavy information day, that also saw Hung cancelled, How to Make it in America cancelled and Enlightened renewed for a second season.
What is Bored to Death About? Plot Synopsis
Bored to Death is an American comedy series, which premiered on HBO on September 20, 2009. As of 2011, three seasons have aired, each consisting of eight episodes. The show was created by author Jonathan Ames, and stars Jason Schwartzman as a fictional Jonathan Ames—a writer based in Brooklyn, New York City, who moonlights as an unlicensed private detective. The show also stars Ted Danson as George, and Zach Galifianakis as Ray, both friends of Jonathan. The third season premiered October 10, 2011. HBO canceled Bored to Death on December 20, 2011.
So, HBO cancels Bored to Death and that´s the end of it. Sad day for good TV.

The countdown is almost over. This week are two great shows coming back (two of my favourites at least), and I already told you about Psych season six premiere next Wednesday, now I´m here to talk a little bit about Bored to Death season three premiere on HBO, Monday October 10 at 9PM.

Season Finale of Bored to Death is coming, it´s just around the corner, next Sunday, November 14th on HBO.
It´s the second season finale, in an episode called “Super Ray is Mortal” where Officer Drake, Ray and Jonathan try to track down a stalker; George decides to make a stand at work; Jonathan battles his nemesis.

We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.
And despite this season, new shows are falling like crazy. NBC already cancelled Outlaw, ABC Family cancelled Huge, Fox cancelled Lone Star, ABC cancelled My Generation, and also cancelled The Whole Truth, and MTV cancelled The City in its second season. HBO is doing things right and renews Bored to Death for season three.
I already told you ten reasons to watch Bored to Death, and now you have one more reason, since HBO renews Bored to Death, giving it more time to keep developing a great show.
Even though Bored to Death’s season premiere audience was modest, at 1.1 million, despite following Boardwalk Empire HBO gives the show a vote of confidence, and adding to the renewal or Eastbound & Down, and the renewal of Boardwalk Empire, its entire Sunday lineup is safe.

Ok, so, Bored to Death is a great show, and Bored to Death comes back September 26th on HBO, as our TV Comeback Calendar tells.
