In the middle of December already, but info still coming to fill the renewed shows on 2011 and all the cancelled shows on 2011 lists.
Style Network is cancelling Ruby, although no official announcement on the matter just yet.
Where Style Network issued the following statement that leads to believe about Ruby cancellation: “We thank Ruby for sharing her inspirational journey with the Style viewers, and we look forward to her serving as a ‘Fight with Style’ Ambassador in the fight against obesity.”
Ruby Gettinger fight to lose weight has lasted four seasons already and the network is calling it quits on screen, after season four was under half a million viewers for the premiere.

In the tradition of “Little People, Big World” comes this unscripted series, which gives viewers a look at life from the perspective of a woman living in Savannah, GA., who happens to weigh 500 pounds.
And now, after four seasons, Style Network cancels Ruby. So long Ruby Gettinger!

I’m a over weight person an her show encouraged me that to can lose weight, was sadden when you ended it, Please bring Ruby Gettinger back on, the program you replaced her with i do not like it, please put her on again, this was helping alot women all over the world, please if you care bring her back!!!! Ruby was an inspiration to all women. Shows like Big Rich Texas and Jerseylicious are mindless. These shows show women in a very negative light. Where as Ruby was positive to all women. After meeting Ruby in the airport she was a real person and down to earth. To take her show off is ridiculous.
They should bring Ruby back and go back to the original plot “her weight loss journey”
Her taking trips and trying to date was not what people wanted to see. They should go
back to the original plot and if not try to help someone else lose weight.
Ruby actually lost sight of her goal and in turn the viewers lost interest in the show.
People who were viewing this wanted to see Ruby achieve her goal but instead she
went Hollywood.
I agree with Pat. I loved when the show was about Ruby and her day to day struggles. I did not enjoy the travel episodes. All in all I miss Ruby and would love to see her on TV again. I hope she’s doing okay.
With the Weight of the Nation and focus on obesity it’s a shame that this inspirational show can not continue to help women al over the nation. Ruby is missed.
Ruby started out being a great inspirational show…The problem is that Ruby, in true reality show form, became a “celebrity” wannabe instead of a real person on a documentary forum show…The show started to focus on her makeovers and this famous person and that famous person..I mean, Rosie O’Donnell for goodness sake???Yep, now that’s why I tuned in to Ruby…lol
I miss the show and hope she is well.
I loved Ruby and wish you would bring it back.
