Brian Burkhardt was the winner of the first season ever of Project Accessory, and I had the chance to talk to him so he can tell me about the whole experience.
Some of the interesting things I learned after chatting with him, is that the vibe on the show was of respect to each other, and trying to learn as much possible out of the experience, especially from the other designers, since there were shoes specialists, bags specialists, jewelry specialists and so on.
Among other things we talked: How on earth did he manage to keep it a secret since he won on July, and the announcement was made in December.
We also talked about what was coming for him and his new collection, which was his favourite challenge, we talked about the challenge of the unicorn bag, designing for Kenneth Cole.
