The-Killing-cancelled-renewed-amcWith great power, comes great responsibility, and being the network that brings us shows like Breaking Bad, Mad Men and The Walking Dead, AMC needs to be on top of everything, and having a just good show is not enough. And that´s why AMC cancelled The Killing today. (Updating the  lists of cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012).

AMC is cancelling The Killing and we saw it coming. The show was a bit below expectations.

The official statement regarding The Killing cancellation read “After much deliberation, we’ve come to the difficult decision not to renew ‘The Killing’ for a third season. AMC is incredibly proud of the show and is fortunate to have worked with such a talented team on this project, from showrunner Veena Sud and our terrific partners at Fox Television Studios to the talented, dedicated crew and exceptional cast.”

The show´s audience shedded from season one to season two by 35% between season finales, making it more difficult to get the call back, and now, it became official that AMC cancelled The Killing.
