More information to fill the lists for cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012. And in this case it´s television as we know it. One of the few shows that are still around since “before I was born”, and one of those renewals we used to take for granted, up until all those perennial shows got axed last year. CBS renewed 60 Minutes for the forty fifth season, and that makes the network to keep running with one of TV Guide´s 50 best shows ever. And a show that still, after so many years, ranks top 20 every season for the last five years, with number twelve being the past year, meaning CBS renews 60 Minutes and everything is okay in TV world.
What is 60 Minutes about? Plot Synopsis
60 Minutes is an American television news magazine, which has run on CBS since 1968. The program was created by producer Don Hewitt who set it apart by using a unique style of reporter-centered investigation.
60 Minutes consists of three long-form news stories, without superimposed graphics. There is a commercial break between two stories. The stories are introduced from a set with a backdrop resembling pages from a magazine story on the same topic. The show undertakes its own investigations and follows up on investigations instigated by national newspapers and other sources.
