More information to fill the lists for cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012. And while the priciest version of the franchise, in CSI: Miami got cancelled, the original one, and longest running CSI Crime Scene Investigation got renewed for season thirteen.
Procedurals are always expected to make good numbers, and we can cite as example franchises like Law & Order on NBC and USA and NCIS on CBS. This one had been running for long in CBS, and now the centerpiece CSI gets renewed for thirteenth season.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (also known as CSI) is an American crime drama television series, which premiered on CBS on October 6, 2000. The show was created by Anthony E. Zuiker and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It is filmed primarily at Universal Studios in Universal City, California.
The series follows Las Vegas criminalists (identified as “Crime Scene Investigators” working for the Las Vegas Police Department (LVPD) instead of the actual title of “Crime Scene Analysts” and “Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department”(LVMPD))[1] as they use physical evidence to solve grisly murders in this unusually graphic drama, which has inspired a host of other cop-show “procedurals”.
