masterchef-cancelled-renewed-season-four-foxAfter a quiet week, we are back with more info for the lists of  cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012. In this case, a renewal we definitely saw coming, as Fox renews Masterchef for season four. Currently in its third season the show has grown 8 percent in total viewers, when compared to the prior season; and also grown 9 percent when considering adult 18-49 demo.

When talking about the renewal of Masterchef for season four, Executive Producer and judge Gordon Ramsay said “I am continually amazed by the raw talent, passion and creativity of home cooks across America. The contestants raise the bar every season, and it’s an inspiration and exciting challenge for us.”

Third season of Masterchef will go on to air its finale in September, and the renewal order for season four is scheduling the next run for 2013.

MasterChef is based on the first season of the Australian format, produced by FremantleMedia Australia, which in turn was based on the British BBC series MasterChef. Chef, television personality and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay together with restaurateur and vineyard owner Joe Bastianich and chef Graham Elliot are the judges in this new version of MasterChef. The US version, however, has some deviations from the Australian version. The challenges also vary from season to season.
