And this one comes paired to the renewal of Veep, as HBO renews Girl for a second season. The show premiered to good critics and acceptable ratings, earning it the right to develop and find its stride where to blossom for the premium cabler.

After airing four episodes, and averaging 3,8 million viewers Girls get renewed for a second season that will consist of ten episodes, set to air probably early 2013.

Girls is a comedy about the experiences of a group of girls in their early 20’s. The show follows four girls: Hannah, an aspiring writer; Marnie, an art gallery assistant and cousins Jessa and Shoshanna.

Created by and starring Lena Dunham (“Tiny Furniture”), the show is a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of girls in their early 20s. Dunham wrote and directed the pilot of the series, which she executive produces along with Judd Apatow and Jenni Konner.  The cast also includes Jemima Kirke, Allison Williams, Adam Driver and Zosia Mamet.  Episodes were shot in New York.
