Still on the outlook of TCA week, there´s more info to add to the lists of cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012. The same day as MTV announced the renewal for Snooki and JWOWW, the cabler also renewed World of Jenks for a new run.
“World of Jenks” will premiere on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT for a second season with expanded hour-long episodes on MTV. In the reinvented season, Jenks brings a new approach to his storytelling, as he captures the unforgettable journeys of three young people and their unique experiences over a year-long period. The new, one-hour format will allow for a more in-depth look at these individuals’ lives in order to ultimately tell a more complete story. With more than 1 million viewers per episode, the first season of “World of Jenks” was a strong addition to MTV’s lineup, performing especially well with women 18-24 and male teens.

Andrew Jenks is an award-winning filmmaker, creator and host of MTV’s critically-acclaimed series “World of Jenks” and a correspondent for MTV’s 2012 Election campaign, “Power of 12.”
As the face of MTV’s “Power of 12” campaign, Jenks is charged with informing, engaging and amplifying the voices of his generation throughout the 2012 election. While on the campaign trail, Jenks speaks with young voters around the country, elevating the issues they care about through a series of on-air and online MTV News interviews. The “Power of 12” campaign launched in December 2011 with Jenks’ short-form documentary, “Our Voice,” which brought the voices of young voters directly to GOP candidates. He will continue to speak with young voters and the presidential candidates throughout the 2012 election cycle, and to date has appeared on major broadcast news programs on channels including CNN, Fox News and MSNBC as an expert on young people and politics.
Over the last year, he has spoken at over 40 colleges and universities across the country, sharing his experiences as a young filmmaker, while also providing career insights and advice to students.
