More information to fill the lists for cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012. And this one baffles me. The show was the highest rated scripted show for NBC in terms of total viewers, but in the adult 18-45 demo, it was not very good rated. And this is the kind of shows that proves that people outside that age group does not matter in broadcast… at all.
Harry’s Law is an American legal comedy-drama television series created by David E. Kelley, which premiered on January 17, 2011. Harry’s Law revolves around Harriet Korn, a recently fired patent lawyer, and her group of associates as they come together to form a unique law firm in a rundown shoe store in Cincinnati. In the second season, the practice is moved upstairs to a larger office with the help of prestigious lawyer and friend Thomas “Tommy” Jefferson.
NBC cancelled Harry´s Law and frees actors like Kathy Bates and Mark Valley for new endeavors, yes, but it´s still baffling to see how older viewers don´t matter.
What do you think? Are you sad that Harry´s Law got cancelled? Let me know in the comments section.
Also, remember to follow me on Twitter for more scoop about shows getting cancelled as Harry´s Law did.
I think the programmers are all 12 years old with that mentality! This is a good show and those of us who don’t fit into the 18 to 49 category “spend” money and do count no matter what this idiots think!!!!
I could not believe the list of shows that insult your intelligence that have been renewed and THIS show gets cancelled?????????????????
Guess NBC doesn’t need me to tune in to their network any more–extremely stupid decision.
The above 2 comments are correct, NBC is stupid. I loved this show, the script and acting were excellent. They are making a big mistake. I would like to know who rates these programs. Yet 2 1/2 Men are still on TV!!! That is a show that should of been cancelled a long time ago. The content of that show is total trash. I watched it for 10 minutes and changed it. It would be nice if NBC reconsidered this show.
STUPID REALITY SHOWS MAKE ME SICK – LOVE HARRY
I saw Jean Smart on The Talk yesterday and heard, for the first time, that “Harry’s Law” had been cancelled. One report states that the show did not score well in the 18-45 demographic but did very well otherwise.
I am outside this demographic and thoroughly enjoyed the show, mainly because it made me think about what I was watching. Furthermore, it made me think of the world in new ways! This last point helps us to re-invigorate society for renewal and growth.
What do we have to do to keep stimulating shows, immune from the influence of the 18-45 type of crowd?
Why!?? I was really looking forward to the next season. Harry was such an unique character and the fact that she wasn’t a 6ft skinny model turned actress playing an oh so perfect lawyer made her even more entertaining to watch. I will really miss this show. This was a bad move by NBC.
