Law-&-Order-Special-Victims-Unit-svu-cancelled-renewed-nbcMore information to fill the lists for cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012.  This one is something that we are used to for a long long time, even though there´s always speculation and rumours against it. NBC renews Law & Order SVU for season 14 and it´s a good move for the Peacock, specially because it comes in hand of inking a new deal with show and franchise creator Dick Wolf. This deal with Wolf probably helps the chances moving forward of a show he is co producing; a new military competition reality series done with Mark Burnett.

Paired to this new deal, NBC is renewing Law & Order SVU for season 14 and it is picking up a pilot of Chicago Fire, and giving it a series order.

Law & Order SVU was third among series for the network only behind Smash and Parenthood, therefore granting the renewal, even though its ratings are not what they used to be after Chris Meloni left.

This hard-hitting and emotional series from NBC’s “Law & Order” brand chronicles the life and crimes of the Special Victims Unit of the New York City Police Department, an elite squad of detectives who investigate sexually based crimes.  Dedicated Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), a seasoned veteran of the unit who has seen it all, heads up the department with empathy and professionalism, all the while dealing with her difficult past – as a product of rape and a witness to her mother’s grief, she can personally relate to each victim she tries to help.
