perception-cancelled-renewed-tnt-season-twoToday is a heavy day in the news front for TV shows, and there´s a lot of info to add to the lists of cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012; this one truly expected: TNT renews Perception for season two.

TNT has ordered a second season of Perception, the Monday night drama starring Eric McCormack and Rachel Leigh Cook. It´s no wonder, since it currently ranks second behind TNT’s Major Crimes among basic cable’s top new scripted series for the year-to-date.

Perception renewal order for season two consists of 13 episodes that are slated to air in 2013.

In the official announcement from the network regarding Perception renewal, Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) said “Perception has captured the imagination of TNT’s audience of armchair detectives with wonderfully intricate cases, emotionally charged situations and, of course, a terrific cast led by Eric McCormack… Daniel Pierce is a truly unique and fascinating addition to television’s pantheon of crime solvers. We look forward to seeing where Perception takes us next.”
