In this task of updating the lists of cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012 sometimes it´s a bummer, because you see some shows go that you´d like have sticking around, and that´s the case for this one, as CBS cancels Partners. It was an obvious decision, as the show was bombing in all kinds of ratings, and specially in the key demo of younger than 50. It was even a surprise to a lot of analysts as to why the show lasted this long, Vulture has a great piece about it.
CBS cancels Partners as expected, and is pulling the show off schedule effective immediately, replacing it with reruns from other comedies. Other than that, choices to fill in are Friend Me, with targeted premiere for midseason, and Rules of Engagement, the go to show from CBS whenever they need something proven on a timeslot.
The show had tons of pedigree, and that could be another reason as to why Cancelling Partners took longer than expected according to its performance, as it was created by Will & Grace´s creator David Kohan and Max Mutchnick and starred Ugly Betty´s Michael Urie, Numb3rs Dave Krumholtz, Superman´s Brandon Routh and One Tree Hill´s Sophia Bush.
