As we approach the end of the year we are also way over 300 shows on the list of renewed shows of 2012 and nearly 100 on the list of cancelled shows of 2012. That´s over one announcement a day on average. A lot. And now, another one joining the comeback kids: Nickelodeon renews See Dad Run for season two of the family sitcom on Nick at Nite headlined by Scott Baio.
A multi-camera scripted half-hour, the series follows David Hobbs (Baio) an actor who, after ten years of starring as America’s favorite TV dad, becomes a stay-at-home father to honor the deal he made with his soap star wife (Alanna Ubach, Legally Blonde), so that she may return to the limelight. Mark Curry (Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper) also stars as David’s friend, Marcus. Jackson Brundage, Ryan Newman and Bailey Michelle Brown play Joe, Emily and Janie Hobbs, completing the family while Ramy Youssef rounds out the cast as Kevin, David´s assistant.
Season one of See Dad Run airs on Sundays and is set to air its Christmas episode this weekend. The show has been both good among critics as on the ratings, granting it the renewal for a second season of See Dad Run. Second season order is of twenty episodes set to air mid to late 2013.

I like See Dad Run so I’m glad to hear it’s being renewed. I love how David is a stay-at-home dad and I also love the cast on this show. My DISH coworker first told me about the Christmas episode, I can’t wait. I’ll be recording it on my DISH Hopper since I won’t be home when it airs. This DVR can record and store up to 2,000 hours of entertainment. I never run out of room!
