We keep adding shows to the lists of cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012, and in this case, just a week after MTV renewed Ridiculousness, and on the same week as Bloopers with Dean Cain premiered, Comedy Central renews Tosh.0 for season five. There was no doubt about this renewal, as Daniel Tosh is having his presence grow on the cabler, as his animated comedy Brickleberry is premiering next week, same as the return of Tosh.0 for fall premiere.
Season Five renewal order for Tosh.0 consists of 30 episodes to debut in January 2013, and this large order is going to put the show close to a 150 episodes run, since the milestone of the 100th episode is going to be achieved on Tuesday November 27.
There was no doubt of this renewal, since Tosh.0 is the highest rated and most watched series of Comedy Central. In the official announcement, Kent Alterman, Head of Original Programming and Production at Comedy Central joked about that saying “Despite the fact that ‘Tosh.0’ has more viewers than any other show on our network, and that Daniel has totally catalyzed his fans online, we still convinced ourselves to pick up the show for another season.”
Said Tosh, “It’s hard for me to get excited about anything when the Miami Dolphins look so terrible.”
Currently in its fourth season, “Tosh.0” ranks as the #1 entertainment series on all of television on Tuesday nights among Men 18-34 and Men 18-24 and continues its break-out ratings success for COMEDY CENTRAL, averaging 3.7 million total viewers and a 2.7 Adult 18-49 rating across its two most recent seasons.
What is odd to see is that the show averages nearly 4 million viewers, but Tosh has nearly 7 million followers on Twitter. It´s time to get those eyes on the TV Daniel!
