Who wouldn´t dream of a house? but from dreaming to getting the dream house, there´s a long process.
The hustle and bustle of our daily lives leaves many of us to romanticize about an escape home. This vision is what got New York City-based newlyweds, Fred and Natasha Ruckel, to buy land in the Catskill Mountains. DIY Network’s Dream House, premiering Sunday, January 9 at 8 p.m. ET, documents the entire process from buying the land to the last coat of paint.
While it’s all very exciting and having that second home sounds ideal, their ambitious schedules and limited budget lead the Ruckels to wonder if this dream is worth the headache. In the first half-hour episode, the Ruckels have to deal with a nasty neighbor who puts them in a compromising position, a contractor that can¹t see the light through the trees, and a robbery!
