As we stayed in Florida, we checked out the Bay Harbor Hotel in Tampa, in a complex that also includes Beach Bar and Restaurant as a good dining option. If you are traveling say, to Busch Gardens or The Florida Aquarium, this hotel is an excellent choice, and I am going to tell you about our stay.
Location, Location, Location
Even though Tampa is on the bay, there are not a lot of hotels that have their own beachfront, and this is one of those, right in the middle of a trip between Busch Gardens and St Petersburg. That way you can go anywhere and be a short drive distance to wherever you want to go. (20 – 40 minutes to every attraction)

The Room: The room is cozy and complete. And the view is gorgeous. In order for you to have a better feel of it, we did a room tour video. (Note we did it after we saw the view and we´ve already taken a little nap and settled in, so pardon the mess)
As you can see, the view is gorgeous, and it is very convenient if you are renting a car. It may be a little farther if you are not planning on renting one, so take notice of that before deciding.
Just a few steps away from our room was the swimming pool.
The Amenities
- The Bar is great, as I already reviewed; but, on the weekends the music can get very loud. I´d recommend you to ask for a room farther from the bar.

- Free Parking for guests

You can sit on the couch in your room and enjoy the view.
You can also rent kayaks, jetskis and boats at the front desk and enjoy the waters of the Bay.
Who would I recommend Bay Harbor Hotel to?
- For Couples: if you are on a honeymoon, anniversary or just traveling together, it is indeed a very romantic place. Ask for a beachside view!
- For Families: The rooms are big and comfortable, you have everything you need from activities, to good food, the pool and the beach. But make sure you go with a car in that case.
- Groups of friends: It has the beach and the cool bar. You will probably spend little time in the room, so you won´t need the beachside view. You can ask for non view rooms.
As you can see it is a great option for travelers with transportation.
