On our trip to Tampa, Florida, we had to eat, right? so, since we were staying at Bay Harbor Hotel, we walked a few yards and took a look at Beach Bar and Restaurant. And I must say, it is an excellent choice we did to enjoy good food and entertainment beachside.

We went on a Saturday noon, where the great weather allowed us to go to an outside table and enjoy the view. We also decided to do a big tasting of different dishes and have a feel of the overall menu. To start things off, we went for some spicy lemonade, fresh as can be, that scream relaxing at the beach.

The first dish we tried was the Key West Chowder. We don´t care if it´s cold or hot outside; if we see a soup on the menu, we go for it.

The second dish we tried is the Southwest Salad, to balance out the soup, we got this lettuce, cheese and tortilla chips salad. I ended up eating most of it as it was a bit on the spicy scale for Dayana; so if you don´t like it too hot, you should avoid it; on the other hand, if you like spicy salads, this one´s for you.

The third dish we tried was the Coconut Shrimp, a dish that shouts beach. The coconut aroma was subtle and the shrimp was very crispy and it was clear it was fried in new oil. A hot sauce is paired with it and an even hotter tropical salad.

The fourth dish we tried was probably the biggest classic ever: the Caesar Salad. Normally if the ingredients are fresh, you can´t go wrong with this one.

The fifth dish we tried was the All American Burger. The bar was very high after those burgers of Boulevard, and this one was recommended by our server Litz. It has everything: Tomato, lettuce, cucumber, pickle, bacon, cheese and a right on point burger and tasty buns. Paired with fries. An awesome burger, that did not disappoint. It was very good (Still Boulevard´s was my favorite, but that was the best burger I ever tried).

The Sixth Dish, the Caribbean Mahi Mahi. I couldn´t be at the beach and not eat fish. This dish was paired with yellow rice and the tropical salad.

Our overall experience at Beach Bar and Restaurant in Tampa, Florida:

Everything was good to great (the salads were good, the proteins were great). The service was fast and cordial, even though the place was packed. Our servers Litz and Shawn were able to take time to suggest some dishes to us and ask us how we like the meat.

If you are staying in Bay Harbor Hotel, you are just a few yards away from Beach. If not, you will have valet parking for 5 bucks.
The place is very popular and on a weekend as we went, very packed. You may want to call for a reservation.
Since the place is high energy, there will be DJs and loud music. It is a great place for a lunch with friends, but maybe not for an intimate date.
