Today on ‘The Wendy Williams Show’(nationally syndicated, check local listings or www.wendyshow.com for stations/times) Grammy Award-winner Toni Braxton shot down rumors that she owes the IRS $50 million, explaining she owes “Maybe $500,000. But what people don’t understand is that’s when I got ill. That was just one year, one year of my illness. That’s all it was.”  Toni also took a moment to listen to Wendy’s opinion about whether or not she should do the Toni Braxton Playboy edition for $100,000.  Wendy encouraged Toni to turn the opportunity down, saying “You’ve come too far to have to do that. We already know you have a great body. And besides Toni, that’s not a lot of money.”

Toni Braxton Playboy edition and bankrupcy quote:

WW: So now Playboy, let’s talk about the sexy. I was reading in one of my tabloids, because you know I love my tabloids. Toni Braxton is going to pose, $100,000, you know, which is an effort to help her bankruptcy of $50 million. So let’s talk about the Playboy first.
TB: I was really flattered, and they’ve asked me a few times in the past. But one of the reasons I’m excited is because after I was sick I just didn’t feel sexy, I thought I lost my mojo. When they asked me I was like, “They think I’m sexy? My boobies hang down to here a little bit. I was really flattered.
WW: Are you going to do it?
TB: You know, I haven’t decided. I have until June.  One of the reasons I’m hesitant is because of my boys. I don’t want them to go to school and have their friends to come to school and say, “I saw your mommy’s boobies.”
WW: I have an opinion.
TB: Ok tell me, tell me.
WW: Don’t do it. And I’m going to tell you…
TB: It wouldn’t be a full spread it wouldn’t be like ‘woo-hoo’!
WW: It doesn’t matter and here’s the thing, even if you didn’t have children, even if you were totally single. My thought is that you’ve come too far to have to do that. We already know you have a great body. And besides Toni, that’s not a lot of money, $100,000…
TB:  That’s not a lot of money!
WW: That’s bubble gum money compared to what the IRS allegedly wants.
TB: I agree with that.
WW: Let’s talk about that. OK so the last time you were here, you had only one filing of bankruptcy. Two weeks later, we read, we talked about it on Hot Topics; you filed for bankruptcy for a second time.
TB: Here’s what happened. At first it was a business bankruptcy. But because I secured everything personally, I had to file. That’s what happened. People don’t understand that bankruptcy is for protection. So after I got ill from, you know, I have lupus. My Lupus likes my heart and that’s why I have heart disease…and when I did ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ Oh, i have something for you. A bracelet from ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
WW: When were you eliminated?
TB: Five. Season seven but week five…
WW: …Alright, moving ahead, how much do you owe the IRS between the company and Toni Braxton?
TB: Maybe $500,000. But what people don’t understand is that’s when I got ill. That was just one year, one year of my illness. That’s all it was, it was a deferment, so all of a sudden it became a deferment and I owe taxes. But that’s not the case.
WW: That’s good because they were saying $50 million.
TB: Because of the Vegas show. I got ill and had to cancel my Vegas show. I had to cancel all of my concerts and that’s why I had to file for business bankruptcy, to protect myself.
