Veteran comic Bob Saget returns to the stage in the long-awaited BOB SAGET: THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKIN’ ABOUT, premiering Friday, May 10th at 10 pm (ET/PT) on SHOWTIME. Saget may be most recognized as America’s favorite TV dad from his days on the hit series Full House, but as a stand-up, he taps deeply into his bawdy, salty side…and audiences the world over thank him for it. The unleashed Saget, with guitar in hand and a (dirty, filthy) song in his heart, retells colorful stories, including gems about his father, who he credits with his edgy and profane sense of humor.
Saget has starred in many successful television shows, including two of the most family-friendly shows network TV has ever produced (Full House and America’s Funniest Home Videos) but he’s also been an out-of-his-mind, stand-up comedian for more than thirty years. From his HBO special That Ain’t Right to his scene-stealing cameos in Entourage, and The Aristocrats, it’s always effective when Saget embraces his dark side.
Saget starred on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning The Drowsy Chaperone and headlined the self-titled documentary comedy series for A&E, Strange Days with Bob Saget, an exploration of unusual subcultures in America. In the coming months, he will enjoy touring and writing a book for It Books, an imprint of HarperCollins, for release in early 2014. It may be dirty.
