Sometimes you are just waiting to get more info to add to the lists of renewed shows of 2012 and not on the list of cancelled shows of 2012, because you know which one the show is going to. That´s the case for this one, as The CW renewed Arrow for a back season order for its freshman run, extending it to 22 episodes, when added these extra nine just oredered.

The good news came today from a tweet by the star of the show Stephen Amell who tweeted: “Best way to start a Monday? Getting picked up for your back nine episodes. Thwick. #Arrow”.

This gives this new freshman series a very good chance of securing the renewal of Arrow for season two later this year, or early next year.

It was every bit of an expected bit of news, since the show earned the best premiere numbers for the network since the premiere of The Vampire Diaries back in 2009, and, not only that, but also Arrow managed to mantain those same numbers for the second airing.
