Black & Blue Crew from Wipeout New Webisodes online

By now, you should probably know what is it with Wipeout, Each week, 24 energetic contestants of all ages, shapes and sizes go head-to-head through four rounds of demanding but hilarious obstacle courses to win the title of “Wipeout Champion” and that $50,000 grand prize. In the end, only one contestant will be victorious. Everyone else will Wipeout!
Well, besides all these contestants there´s a crew that has to test drive everything to make sure it´s properly working.
That´s the purpose of these webisodes, for you to meet the Black & Blue crew, a highly trained, elite group of individuals responsible for testing the obstacles on Wipeout. These extremely athletic, sometimes hilarious, and always insane men and women are masters of the course – constantly testing and re-testing until they live up to their name.

The Webisodes are currently on at ABC.com and every week there will be a new one up there.

Cancelled and Renewed Shows 2011: ABC renews Wipeout for season five

wipeout-cancelled-renewed-abc-season-fiveAnother renewal coming. ABC renewed Wipeout for season five, so the hit game show will come back for a new run next year, but with a change at the helm, since Jill Wagner will be replaced as co-host  by True Beauty´s Vanessa Minillo.

“We will miss Jill, but are thrilled to welcome Vanessa to the team and excited to bring her enthusiasm to the show,” said Wipeout creator and executive producer Matt Kunitz. “She is a great host with a fun and natural energy that our viewers will love.”

Season five renewal of Wipeout will come next summer and winter, and the current season is premiering June 23, so ABC renewed Wipeout as a buzz making announcement prior to the premiere. Both John Henson and John Anderson will stay as hosts.

32 international versions of Wipeout show the success of this game show juggernaut, maing ABC renewing Wipeout for a fifth season a no brainer decision that everyone new was coming.

The same day as CBS renewed The Amazing Race, another network moves forward on announcing an expected renewal too.

Cancelled Shows 2010: Abc renews Wipeout

And today ABC announced that Wipeout gets renewed for a fourth season.

The new season of Wipeout will feature two new obstacle courses, including a fresh “motivator” for the Big Balls, the classic sweeper with a new twist and obstacles such as the Lawn Mower and the Sky Scraper Slide.

Also, let´s remember Wipeout is kind of a global franchise with local versions of the show in many countries. Wipeout gets renewed by ABC because it´s good business.

Wipeout renewal came almost as a no brainer since the show managed to maintain solid numbers and not dropping from last years´.

So, ABC renews Wipeout but the lenght of next season hasn´t been disclosed yet, and wether it will be a two nighter or just one weekly night is still to know.
