Parabens, fans of The CW´s sci-fi and action block. You will like my lists of renewed shows of 2013 and won´t mind about the one with the cancelled shows of 2013. Not only did Arrow got an early renewal, not only did it help land Supernatural its ninth season, but also, The CW renewed The Vampire Diaries for season five. Bringing back all of the network foundation for the future in Sci-Fi, thus putting in jeopardy other shows such as Hart of Dixie or The Carrie Diaries to name only a couple.
The CW President Mark Pedowitz said, regardin the renewal of the three shows: “Not only do Arrow,Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries perform well on-air, they’re also extremely successful for us both digitally and socially.”
It was indeed a no brainer to renew The Vampire Diaries for season five as the show was the biggest rated for The CW in both adult demos 18-34 and 18-49, and only trailing Arrow as the most watched show on the network.
