Hi everybody, Ok, in the light of some announcements from Starz, such as the renewal for Spartacus Blood and Sand, and an executive announcement that Theano Apostolou was named today Senior Vice President Corporate Communications and Programming Publicity for Starz Entertainment. Based in Los Angeles, Apostolou will spearhead all of the network’s communications strategies, programming publicity and external affairs. The announcement was made by Bill Myers, president and chief operating officer at Starz Entertainment. Apostolou will report to Myers and replaces Tom Southwick as the lead communications executive for the company following Southwick’s retirement last year.
In the middle of all that, Starz launched the first official trailer video for Camelot, the new series premiering April 1st, 10/9 C.
In the wake of King Uther’s sudden death, the sorcerer Merlin has visions of a dark future and installs Arthur as king. The 10-episode epic drama redefines the classic medieval tale of King Arthur with an exciting ensemble cast including: Joseph Fiennes reimagining the iconic role of Merlin, Jamie Campbell Bower as the young and reckless Arthur, and Eva Green in her television debut as the darkly powerful Morgan. The character-driven series also features Tamsin Egerton (Guinevere), Claire Forlani (Igraine) and Peter Mooney (Kay).
You can watch Camelot Trailer Video here, and I have to say… it sounds great. I´ll feast my eyes on Camelot imaginary by watching both Merlin by BBC and Camelot from Starz. Two different approaches to the same legendary world. And two must watch in my books.
