More information to fill the lists for cancelled shows of 2012 and renewed shows of 2012. And while Fox picked up five new shows today, some news of cancellations and renewals have come too. This one is good news, fortunately. Fox renews Touch for a second season, following a ratings surge for the mystery show after having slid for a few weeks since premiere. Getting the mojo back and helluva pedigree on the show is granting it to come back. Fox renewal of Touch for season two will be announced this week, alongside a couple of shows getting cancelled, like The Finder and Alcatraz.
What is Touch about? Plot Synopsis
Blending science, spirituality and emotion, the series follows seemingly unrelated people all over the world whose lives affect each other in ways seen and unseen, known and unknown. At the story’s center is MARTIN BOHM (Kiefer Sutherland), a widower and single father, haunted by an inability to connect to his emotionally challenged 11-year-old son, JAKE (David Mazouz). Caring, intelligent and thoughtful, Martin has tried everything to reach his son. But Jake never speaks, shows little emotion and never allows himself to be touched by anyone, including Martin. Jake is obsessed with numbers – writing long strings of them in his ever-present notebooks – and with discarded cell phones.
