And in this case, FX renews The League for season five. Tonight it airs Season Four Finale of the sitcom, and prior to that airing, FX has just announced that The League got renewed for fifth season. FX’s EVP Original Programming Nick Grad said when announcing it: “Another season was an easy decision and we hope to have it on our schedule for many more years to come.” The show is delivering good numbers for the cabler, averaging well over 1,5 million viewers, and when factoring in multiple airings of each episode, they are reaching almost 2,5 million.

Co-creator Jackie Schaffer said she was happy about the renewal and added: “If the Mayans and Dirty Randy are right and the world ends tomorrow, at least we can say we made it to Season 5.”

The comedy about a group of old friends who play a Fantasy League together gets to season five. so, more of this crazy bunch on the horizon.
