Cancelled and Renewed Shows 2011: Is Fox cancelling The Simpsons? Let´s save them!
Update: The Simpsons got renewed for two more seasons. That does not mean we are safe for long. Let´s keep the focus in, so in two more years the group is huge!
We always list here the renewed shows on 2011 and all the cancelled shows on 2011,and this one came as a shocker after a rumour that negotiations between Fox and The Simpsons voice cast hit a wall with the talent willing to take a 30% cut from their salaries, but with Fox wanting hem to take 45%. And if not, The Simpsons got cancelled as it would be no more able to be produced.
But The Simpsons cancelled? Wouldn´t that be a TV blasfemy?
But also, after a report claiming that the show might worth more if cancelled, things could move closer to renewal, since it would move the negotiations a lot further.
But, can we do something to avoid The Simpsons to get cancelled?
Sure we can! I just started a Facebook Page to Save The Simpsons from cancellation. If you want the show to go on, please join it. Let´s show Fox we are thousands and thousands.
Use a hashtag of #SaveTheSimpsons when you twit. Let´s do everything to keep the show on the air.

Cancelled and Renewed Shows 2010: Fox renews The Simpsons for 23rd season
We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.
This fall season, a lot of shows are falling like crazy. NBC already cancelled Outlaw, ABC Family cancelled Huge, Fox cancelled Lone Star, ABC cancelled My Generation, and also cancelled The Whole Truth, and MTV cancelled The City in its second season, and HBO cancelled Big Love at its fifth and NBC cancelled Undercovers, and Supernanny gets cancelled so Jo Frost can move on, and Disney cancelled Jonas LA.
Some are getting renewed, since HBO renews Eastbound & Down for season three, and also renews Bored to Death for season three and TLC renewed Sister Wives, and NBC renews Days of Our Lives.
And in this case, one of the most traditional TV Families, The Simpsons, get renewed for 23rd season by Fox. A season that will kick in 2011.
There is no shocker here, since The Simpsons are not only solid in the ratings department as in the merchandising sales as in the Pop Culture reference universe. But there´s always the joy of confirmation, and having Fox renew The Simpsons is also a good sign for Animated Sundays, and we are hoping to hear soon for more renewals by Fox.
Are you happy The Simpsons got renewed by Fox? Will you watch the 23rd season of it?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments section.

The Simpsons Spoilers: Simpsons meet American Idol on Season Finale
In an interesting and probably hilarious move, The Simpsons meet American Idol on season finale, starring Simon Cowell, Ellen Degeneres, Kara DioGuardi, Randy Jackson and Moe as judges on American Idol.
Just as a preview you can watch the video of Simon Cowell and Ellen Degeneres on The Simpsons.
Fox Broadcasting will surely miss having Simon Cowell as a judge on American Idol, and will have a headache trying to figure out who to replace Simon Cowell with as judge.
But, for now… we can still watch Simon Cowell as a judge, and we can watch him with the Simpsons in the season finale.
What do you think? Is this a good move by Matt Groening and his guys?

What is The Simpsons About? – Plot
The Simpsons is an American animated television sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series is a satirical parody of a middle class American lifestyle epitomized by its eponymous family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. The show is set in the fictional city of Springfield, and lampoons American culture, society and television, and many aspects of the human condition.
The family was conceived by Groening shortly before a pitch for a series of animated shorts with the producer James L. Brooks. Groening created a dysfunctional family and named the characters after members of his own family, substituting Bart for his own name. The shorts became a part of The Tracey Ullman Show on April 19, 1987. After a three-season run, the sketch was developed into a half-hour prime time show and was an early hit for Fox, becoming the first Fox series to land in the Top 30 ratings in a season (1989–1990).
Since its debut on December 17, 1989 the show has broadcast 441 episodes and the twentieth season began airing on September 28, 2008. The Simpsons Movie, a feature-length film, was released in theaters worldwide on July 26 and July 27, 2007, and grossed US$527 million worldwide.
The Simpsons has won dozens of awards since it debuted as a series, including 24 Primetime Emmy Awards, 26 Annie Awards and a Peabody Award. Time magazine’s December 31, 1999 issue named it the 20th century’s best television series, and on January 14, 2000 the Simpson family was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Simpsons is the longest-running American sitcom, the longest-running American animated program, and in 2009 it surpassed Gunsmoke as the longest running American primetime entertainment series. Homer’s exclamatory catchphrase “D’oh!” has been adopted into the English lexicon, while The Simpsons has influenced many adult-oriented animated sitcoms.
