at anon 1:07, ITA w/you. Even the kids loved and voted kristen and rob for tighwilt when it is really not a "kid" movie (remember it is rated PG13?)one thing more, harry potter also did not win favorite book, much to my expectation.

I can't believe they cancelled "COMMON LAW" The reason I enjoy it so much is the chemistry between the two stars. I think we all learn lessons from watching two people who have to work together and see them work out there differences and see the bond they are building with each other. Maybe the show was a bit deep for most. Castle has those same qualities with a bit of the cute flirty humor thrown in.. I guess a good TV show has to be for children .The sad part about the show being cancelled is the show was achieving not only a bond with the two of them it was also creating a bond with the audience and I felt I just lost two people that I was getting to know struggling to survive. It made me think about people I deal with and how the show was also teaching me something. Perhaps it should have been on The Learning Channel.

can't believe you'd remove HOUSE, we have been watching it since day one, it is one of the best shows on tv, it and LAW AND ORDER SVU , GENERAL HOSPITAL, OUTLAW, DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER, CSI: MIAMI, THE RIVER ALCATRAZ, REVOLUTION , AWAKE, THESE OTHERS WE ALSO WATCH ALL THE TIME, WHY CAN'T THEY REMOVE, SHOWS LIKE THE GAME SHOWS, TALK SHOWS, VICTORY SECREAT, REMOVE THESE SHOWS NOTHING BUT FILTH AND STUPIDNESS, REPLACING ALL THE GOOD SHOWS WITH DUMB, UNINTERESTING SHOWS ALSO NEED TO REMOVE THE RUN WAY, COOKING SHOWS, ECT, ALL UNINTERESTING, KEEP THE ONES ABOVE MENTIONED, ALL FAMILIES WATCH THESE ONES. KEEP OUR GOOD ONES AND REMOVE ALL THE ONES MENTIONED WE ALL IN THE WORLD DON'T LIKE OR CARE FOR, BRING BACK OR KEEP ALL THOSES ABOVE MENTIONED TO KEEP OR BRING BACK . PLEASE. Yes Good story, but least Geology. From the title I was expecting Geology. All read here is a submerged hill!. Sorry. I see that Alcatraz is a surface remnant of an acretionary prism, accumulated due to the subduction of Faralon oceanic plate below North American continent, not sure on time-scale.
I was there last week, on a tourist trip to Alcatraz, and was very curious on Geology, on the road cut while going up. I took a picture. I am just curious on finding the geology, like I do in any other tourist spot that I go to.
The beds are very steeply dipping (Probably SW~70 degrees, no measurement, just a hunch. These are very coarse grained sandstones (probably Feldspathic Quartites. (seems right in this story). Certainly these are turbidites and well bedded and laminated, alternating with 1-2ft shales, rhythemically at regular intervals! These are slope deposits of developoing acretionary prism. I will post some more when I find.

homonymous rocks? Mentioned twice. I couldn't find a specific definition. I concluded it meant that the rocks are given one name even though they are not identical.
