We are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.
And this season, new shows are falling like crazy. NBC already cancelled Outlaw, ABC Family cancelled Huge, Fox cancelled Lone Star, ABC cancelled My Generation, and also cancelled The Whole Truth, and MTV cancelled The City in its second season.
And today was not a happy wednesday for many Battlestar Galactica fans, since there´s another cut, when the announcement that Syfy cancelled Caprica and won´t have a secind season.
Caprica has left five more episodes to air, but will be pulled out of the schedules right away and not air next week. But, fear not Caprica fans, you will be able to watch those five remaining episodes of Caprica sometime in 2011, yet to be announced when.
As Network producers announced in the official statement, “The remaining first run episodes of Caprica – airing Tuesdays at 10/9c – will be removed from the schedule as of next Tuesday, November 2. These final five episodes of the season will be re-scheduled to air at a to be announced time in the first quarter of 2011, and will conclude the run of the series.”
Mark Stern, Executive Vice President of Original Programming, Syfy and Co-Head of Content for Universal Cable Productions added: “Unfortunately, despite its obvious quality, ‘Caprica’ has not been able to build the audience necessary to justify a second season.”
Hence Syfy cancels Caprica. What do you think about Caprica being cancelled? Are you sad Syfy cancelled Caprica? Do you think the show deserves another chance?

Cancelled and Renewed Shows 2010: Syfy cancels Caprica…
I found your entry interesting do I’ve added a Trackback to it on my weblog :)…
Are you kidding??? Just when the series was getting exciting they cancel it. Wow! That’s so unfair and nuts.
I can’t believe Caprica is being cancelled!!!! There aren’t many shows I can’t wait for the next episode and Caprica was the main one. I’m so upset!
Just another reminder that the TV business has nothing to do with artistic quality. Quality shows do get on (and some networks, like AMC, have a business model that encourages quality), but they are increasingly rare. There are OK shows, and then there are ambitious, visionary shows like Caprica, shows that are literally a new kind of visual language. It’s like when a band you love goes in a different direction. It takes some getting used to, but then you find you love the new stuff even better. No offense to Warehouse 13, but its shallow characters and cheesy plot lines are the same old same old. I’m sad to see Caprica being taken off the air.
Give it to Kong station or Ion tv or joe tv and there are other avenues to follow and other directions you can take this and maybe for a while people will get a chance to watch something produced from a wonderful company as yourself and gather a new understanding and concept from another point of view?
