NBC renewed Community for season three, and that´s always good news!

“Community” (Thursdays, 8-8:30 p.m. ET) is averaging a 2.1/6 in 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall, continuing to deliver solid numbers in a time period that includes competition from Fox’ “American Idol,” CBS’s “Big Bang Theory” and ABC’s “Wipeout.” “Community” is also one of the most upscale primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW, with a top-15 ranking in its concentration of adults 18-49 living in home with $100,000-plus incomes.
TV critics continued to rave about “Community” this season.  Time magazine’s James Poniewozik wrote: “Episode by episode, ‘Community’ makes some of the best half-hours on TV.”  “‘Community’ is a fantastical, dreamlike jewel-box of a show….it’s a pretty amazing ride…” Also, TV Guide’s Matt Roush called the series, “TV’s most adventurous and unpredictable sitcom.”
Named the #1 TV Show of 2010 by New York magazine, “Community,” is a smart, exuberant comedy series about a band of misfits who attend Greendale Community College.  At the center of the group is Jeff Winger (Joel McHale, “The Soup”), a fast-talking lawyer whose degree has been revoked.  Winger forms a study group who eventually learn more about themselves than their course work.   Also among the series stars who comprise the group are comedy legend Chevy Chase (“Fletch”), Gillian Jacobs (“The Book of Daniel”), Yvette Nicole Brown (“Rules of Engagement”), Danny Pudi (“Greek”), Alison Brie (“Mad Men”), Donald Glover (“30 Rock”) and Ken Jeong (“The Hangover”).

30 Rock Video of Liz Lemmon and Tracy Jordan sing fighting over Billy Joel´s Uptown Girl and other NBC Comedy videos

As you can read in our full recap of best quotes from 30 Rock´s Operation Righteous Cowboy Lightning. In an episode where Tracy has a reality TV crew following him around which Liz tries to use to her advantage, while Jack attempts to make a profit by pre-recording natural disaster telethons.

One of the finest moments not only of the episode or 30 Rock, but from the season in TV in general was when Tracy Jordan and Liz Lemmon sing fight to the tune of Billy Joel´s Uptown Girl in order for them to avoid having their discussion featured in Tracy´s reality show because they did not hold the rights to the song.

Well we have the video for that moment.

Cancelled Shows 2009: Community confirmed for a full 22 episode season by NBC!

community cancelled renewed by nbcWe are reviewing all the cancelled shows and renewed shows of the season.

This is not exactly neither a cancellation nor a renewal, but… it´s a new order!

Community has just got ordered 9 more episodes and signed a  full 22 episode season.

So, in a way NBC has announced the renewal of Community for a second half first season. That´s probably despite of the not so promising ratings on the show.

What is Community About? – Plot

Community is an American comedy series currently airing on NBC about students at a community college in Denver, Colorado. The series premiered on September 17, 2009 and airs in the 8:00pm ET time slot. The show is a joint venture production between Universal Media Studios and Sony Pictures Television. The pilot of the series premiered on Facebook where it was viewable for a limited time. It has since been available on Amazon Video on Demand, the video-on-demand service for PlayStation 3, as well as Hulu.
Community centers on Jeff Winger (Joel McHale), a suspended lawyer who is back in school after his college degree is deemed invalid by the State Bar Association. The show focuses on Jeff’s experiences attending fictional “Greendale Community College” in Greendale, Colorado and the people he meets there. There is a professor, Ian Duncan (John Oliver), whom Jeff represented as a lawyer. He also meets a girl, Britta (Gillian Jacobs), who is his main love interest in the series, as well as Pierce (Chevy Chase), an aging moist-towelette tycoon who has been married seven times.

Are you happy that NBC is extending Community?
